Hi John,
Your email (shown below) [in blue] is really quite unclear, but I am assuming you mean that you responded to my email on behalf of the SBW committee, the majority of whom have agreed that the questions and suggestions I sent to the committee will not be answered, and the reason for this lack of response is that recent committee members have experienced hurt – presumably caused by me – and unnecessary lengthy emails – presumably sent by me. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
I look forward to seeing this committee decision recorded in the next committee meeting minutes, unless this is yet another example of a President making up the rules as he/she goes along ...
In addition, you are requesting that I don’t raise some yet undisclosed matters with committee members by sending emails to their personal email addresses. Again, please correct me if I’m wrong.
Your response implies that I should only “raise these matters” with the club committee by sending emails to non-personal email addresses. Up until recently I would have been able to send emails to the official SBW email addresses of the President, Treasurer, Webmaster, Editor and Secretary, but due to website improvements it now appears that SBW has only one official email address - info@shoalhavenbushwalkers.com - which makes it difficult for me to know who will process the email.
Given that you will not tell me whether my correspondence with the club will be openly distributed to all committee members or treated as SECRET or confidential by the sub-committee that receives all email correspondence to SBW, never to be seen, I will have to politely decline your request to refrain from sending emails to the personal email addresses of SBW committee members.
In the interest of not making this email unnecessarily lengthy, I will quickly say that I have attached an email which was sent to the SBW President on September 10th. It was not mentioned in the September 18th committee meeting minutes nor in the minutes of subsequent meetings. Given that its subject is “REQUEST FOR ACTION TO ADDRESS DAMAGING BEHAVIOURS IN SBW”, it would seem to be important for Shoalhaven Bushwalkers. Perhaps it has already been dealt with SECRETLY?
I plan to send out follow-up emails to the SBW committee about this subject/email in the future. Everyone should feel free to ignore these emails completely. Delete them without reading them if you like. If you decide to read them, please take your time over them and ensure you space out your reading of the emails over a suitable time period with which you are completely comfortable. I would not want to be accused of an "ongoing hammering" of messages, or of “bullying or harassment”.
Please also note that the highlighting in the attached document was done by me.
And finally, while it is nice to be respected, I don't place much importance on it because respect is highly variable between individuals and can be greatly affected by prejudices, incomplete knowledge, misunderstandings, and mis-information. I place much more importance on truth.
Regards,
Brett

Hi Brett
Thank you for your email which I have noted. After consultation with members of the committee I do not propose to answer it. Please be aware that whilst there is considerable respect for your past work for the club, that respect is diminishing with the hurt and unnecessary lengthy emails experienced by the past committee and now the present committee. I am also passing on a request not to raise these matters on their personal email addresses.
Regards – John Kubale - President
